The Red Hook Community Arts Network is an initiative founded by the Red Hook Area Chamber of Commerce. Our primary goal is to promote Red Hook as an arts destination.
Our members include visual artists, performance artists, writers, musicians, business owners, landlords, village and town officials, and educational and arts related institutions within our community. We hope to participate in local events, create our own events, and build support amongst the creative members of our community. This collective endeavor envisions bringing new businesses, residents, and creative individuals to the Red Hook area. We plan to be involved in the upcoming Apple Blossom Festival, Red Hook Summer Nights and Hardscrabble Day.
Please plan to join us at our much anticipated kick-off event planned for April 29th, 2011 at the Red Hook Firehouse. It will be a cocktail party and mixer with great food, live entertainment, and various speakers. We are asking local businesses if they would be willing to donate food, beverages, paper goods, desserts, wine and beer, miscellaneous items, and their support for our newly founded community network.
RHCAN has a number of members, and is growing every day. If you have an interest in fostering the arts community in Red Hook, please contact us to become a part of this diverse and dynamic group.
